Voluptueux souvenirs, ou le souper des douze: publié pour la première fois d’après le manuscrit original de R. de B., avec la reproduction de 12 figures libres de Devéria (Voluptuous Memories, or the Last Supper: first published from the original manuscript by R. de B., with the reproduction of 12 free figures by Devéria) was privately published around 1927 ‘Pour la bibliothèque des Disciples d’Éros’ (for the library of the Disciples of Eros).
This volume was primarily designed as a vehicle for reproductions of two of Devéria’s series of engravings entitled The Five Senses and The Seven Deadly Sins, from the mid-1840s. It was published by the prolific Maurice Duflou; who the mysterious seventeenth-century author R. de B. was is anyone’s guess. Voluptueux souvenirs was produced in a limited numbered edition of 350 copies.
