As in her etchings and woodcuts, Ewelina Kołakowska chooses to paint in monochrome, a choice which clearly mirrors her exploration of the interaction of bodies, both human and more recently animal.

To what extent the exploration is autobiographical can be left to the viewer’s imagination.
