Possibly more than any other aspect of Félix d’Eon’s prodigious output, it is his talent and ability to produce artwork in any and every period style that is the most impressive feature. Whether eighteenth century gallantry, Victorian flamboyance, Edwardian intricacy or mid-century schoolbook illustration, Félix can produce illustrations with every feature of the original style but with his own unique queer twist.
Look out particularly for the 1940s style boy scout manual pages, the front covers of Oh! the magazine of The Bright Young Gentlemen’s Adventuring Society, and the wonderful Roman bath and underwater scenes.
