Dressage (Training)  is by far the longest of the Montorgueil manuscripts, with 41 pages of text and 28 of drawings. It celebrates dominant women (together with an older male dom), the illustrations showing tender young men as willing playthings in a dizzying variety of scenarios. Set in Hamburg, in Frau Doktor Gutlieb’s celebrated Maison des Amazones, the erotic imagination is let loose in the ultimate fetish dungeon.

As with all of the Montorgueil portfolios shown here, we have used the later colour versions where they exist; the monochrome illustrations come from the original manuscript.
