L’éducatrice passionnée (The Passionate Instructress) is one of the more lavish illustrated titles published by Éditions d’Antin, with ten coloured illustrations (our copy has only seven of them) and a professionally-designed cover.
The text is by the prolific ‘Jim Galding’, author (or quite likely authors, as it is probably a collective pseudonym) between 1934 and 1938 of at least a dozen similar titles, mostly from the Éditions du Couvre-feu and Éditions d’Antin.
The Klementieff illustrations, here identified only by the initials ‘E.K.’, are some of his best and most imaginative erotic compositions, treasured by their purchasers and now rather rare.
We are grateful to Steve Mullins of the Olympia Press website (www.parisolympiapress.com) for these illustrations.
