The erotic alphabet is a favourite format around which to produce a set of related images, and here Alexander Pavlenko joins artists from Apoux and Pascin to Székely and Thiercelin to produce a set of twenty-six letter-shaped vignettes. It isn’t clear whether the subject matter of each is intended to be reflected in the letter it illustrates (L for Lesbian for example); if it is then a fluent German-speaker may be able to enlighten us.
