The Summer Nap, 2012

Félix d’Eon’s paintings and colourful pastels demonstrate his mastery of the more traditional subject matter of art – the purely figurative representation of the naked human body. In addition to the queer context of his paintings, d’Eon often chooses to show his naked subjects in everyday contexts like his laundry room and bathtub sequences, emphasising the normality of what a queer existence looks like in the real world.
