Jacques Lehman’s first love was cats, but after that sex wasn’t far behind, and when ‘chatte’ – French for cat – has the same double entendre as ‘pussy’ does in English, the urge to portray feline pussies with their human polyseme is just too tempting.
Chatteries (Catteries) is a small portfolio of short poems, illustrated by relatively tame lesbian and solo sex colour plates, and more explicit monochrome drawings of female genitals on full display – many of them including a four-legged pussy.
Chatteries was published by Éditions Lesbos in a limited numbered edition of 200 copies.
