This rather cute little sequence forms the ‘frontispiece’ story of a large-format collection of original Barbe cartoon sequences published  in 1983 by the French publisher Gentilly. An innocent game of strip poker sees the young woman beaten at every hand – except at the very end. What the coin toss signifies is the reader’s guess. Interestingly, this is one of the few Barbe cartoons to feature a naked male character.
