Fantasy is clearly seen as the overarching quality of Ed Cervone’s homoerotic art, as again Janssen chose a rather stilted English title (Aktionsfantasie is better in German) to introduce this anthology of the artist’s unpublished explicit erotic drawings, sketches, watercolours, and paintings, showcasing the unique work of one of the masters of gay erotic art.

Here we have pencil sketches, coloured drawings, paintings (including those ubiquitous sailors again) and group scenes, demonstrating both Cervone’s skill and imagination, but also the variety of his graphic techniques. The short introduction by Gerald Stanowicki and Hubert Porteners sets Cervone’s work in context.
