Ceytaire’s drawings show him to be an accomplished draftsman, able with the minimum of line and shading to achieve a very solid and believable sense of corporeal physicality. They also demonstrate his love – some might say obsession – with the flaunting of sexuality, often heightened by the use of a well-placed mirror.

Compared with his paintings with their surrealist distortions and complex compositions, Ceytaire’s drawings possess simplicity and immediacy.
