Though best known as an abstract artist, Janco was perfectly at home as a figurative one too, able to create complex characters and interactions with a few strokes of a pen or pencil and some judicious colouring with crayon or brush. And he clearly liked sex and the naked body, as is clear from this selection of his drawings, dating from the early 1930s to shortly before his death.
