In 2005 Kinky Jimmy registered the website at transartstudio, and started posting regular colour images featuring a growing range of shemale characters, both single and interacting with each other. As before, the male genitals are enormously exaggerated, and produce a prodigious amount of ejaculate.
As with all his work, his mixed-media images – painting with computer-generated elements – raise important issues around fantasy, transgression, kink, stereotypes, and power relations. His imagery has been criticised for fetishising important trans issues, but at the same time Kinky Jimmy’s trans world may also have allowed his viewers to imagine the sexual opportunities offered by non-binary bodies, and to think and imagine beyond the conventions of binary sexuality.
Through his website, Jimmy offered the opportunity for his clientele to commission images of well-known female celebrities with added male appendages – a debatable endeavour of which several examples are included at the end of this selection.
These images cover the period from 1999 to the mid-2010s.
