Originally published simply as Diet, Doctor! I’m Too Big! is an erotic satire built around the contradictory demands placed upon women’s bodies by the fashion industry. Its heroine, Encarnación (Connie), is a voluptuous woman determined to become a top model. Unfortunately, her body is almost the exact opposite of the increasingly thin ideal demanded by the industry. She becomes obsessed with dieting and the possibility of anorexia, while the pressure to change herself has an additional consequence – her preoccupation with her weight has made her sexually inhibited.

Her fortunes change when she consults an eccentric doctor, Anias Greese, who prescribes a strange course of pills. They do not have quite the effect she expects. Instead of simply making Connie thinner, the medication removes the anxieties that have been dominating her life, releasing a powerful sexual appetite. What follows is a bawdy comic transformation in which the supposedly problematic body that Connie has been trying to suppress becomes the source of her newfound confidence and desire.

The premise also gave Noé an opportunity to indulge his evident taste for voluptuous women. He wrote and drew the story himself, producing the artwork in acrylic rather than digitally, making an interesting comparison with some of his later work.

It was serialised in the Spanish Kiss Comix in 1997, and translated into English as Doctor! I’m Too Big!, published by NBM/Eurotica in 1998. It also appeared in French in 2000 as Illusions coquines, in the Selen Présente series. A Spanish collected edition, La Dieta, was subsequently published by La Cúpula as part of its Colección X, and an Italian hardback appeared from B&M Books and Magazines in 2008.
