The most extensive commission by the Erotic Print Society of Monica Guevara’s illustrations was a set of drawings for a pack of playing cards, which were reproduced as The Black Box Playing Cards in a limited numbered edition of 2,500 sets.

Several of the images are repeated on different low value cards, though the royal cards are all different; all depict Guevara’s trademark powerful, sparsely-coloured figures in an impressive array of pair and group sexual activities.

Unfortunately the original artwork for these cards has been lost, and reproduced from the small printed cards the linework no longer has the sharpness of her prints, but even so they still demonstrate the unique imagination, originality and variety of Monica Guevara’s erotic work.
