Lyzeum: 12 Pikante Blätter (High School: 12 Risqué Scenes) is the only Otto Paul portfolio of its genre, remarkably simple and decidedly modern in its treatment and presentation. If the title page did not include the date, it could quite easily have been mistaken for something created in the 1960s.

The stark black and white images, for better and for worse, complement the sometimes scary atmosphere of many of the scenes, with hints of violence and nightmare.
