Unlike most Fameni drawings, most of this series have titles and the signature of ‘F’ with a circled dot, which may or may not be an erotic allusion.

Like most Fameni portfolios, this was no doubt a commission, and demonstrates both that the intended client had classical tastes and that the versatile artist was able to turn any subject into an erotic encounter.
