This collection of two dozen Hildebrand drawings was published after the artist’s death as Volume 3 in Janssen Verlag’s series of monographs of homoerotic artists’ work. Compiled in part from the collection put together by Cadinot and de Maziéres, it shows a representative selection of his work between 1940 and 1950.

The volume includes a short introduction in German and English, which perpetuates the mythical status of Hildebrand as an artist ‘living out his fantasies in evening orgies at the drawing board’.
