It is in Phillip Dvorak’s drawings, usually in monochrome pencil or charcoal though often highlighted in subtle watercolour wash or coloured pencil, that his skill in what he calls his Zen way of seeing is most obvious. He rarely draws a complete figure, concentrating instead on the elements and shapes that most catch his exploratory eye.
