Merlin-Mappe No. 6, published by Merlin Verlag, is a portfolio of seven Niederstrasser colour etchings based on the same imagery as the book published by Merlin a year earlier. Clearly the work of an imaginative graphically-minded artist, they evoke de Musset’s classic text while artistically simplifying the erotic themes of the narrative.

As with all the Merlin-Mappe portfolios, Gamiani was produced in a limited numbered edition of 100 copies.
